Meet Our Team
Danielle Draper
Director and Founder
Danielle is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker; Court Clinician; Training Facilitator; and former lecturer at the University of Wollongong.
With a career that spans more than two decades in the Community Services sector, Danielle has worked in many frontline and leadership roles across New South Wales in both city and regional/remote communities. In 2013, she founded her own company, Continuum Consulting Australia Pty Ltd.
Danielle is passionate about creating positive outcomes for individuals and families through leadership and the development of good practice. Danielle conducts training and coaching, and undertakes assessments for the Children’s Court Clinic for the company. More recently Danielle has developed therapeutic services at Continuum specialising in trauma focused EMDR, Neurofeedback, TF-CBT and Theraplay, all specifically tailored to support people with developmental trauma and complexity in mental health.
She leads a team of staff in the Wollongong office, and a satellite team located around New South Wales, including regional and remote areas.
Danielle has a Bachelor Social Science (Psychology), Master of Child and Adolescent Welfare, Master of Social Work, Cert IV in Training and Assessment, a Graduate Certificate Developmental Trauma and, a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching and Leadership. She is qualified in TF-CBT, EMDR, Theraplay and, Neurofeedback as focused psychological strategies for working with children and families in a therapeutic framework.
Danielle is an accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and The EMDR Institute, EMDRAA, EMDRIA, NIA and, ISPCAN.
Kylie Froome
Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
Kylie is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker; Training Facilitator; Family Group Conference Facilitator; Trauma Therapist; and former tutor at the University of Wollongong.
She is a highly skilled and experienced leader who has worked for more than 20 years in the community services sector. Kylie has developed extensive experience in implementing, monitoring and reviewing service interventions within a quality assurance and best practice standards framework.
Kylie is passionate about child safety, family preservation, and mindfulness-based social work. Driven by a desire to facilitate change and seek quality outcomes for individuals, families, and staff, Kylie applies a deep understanding of the impacts of complex trauma and vicarious trauma throughout her work.
Kylie has been involved in the development of Continuum’s therapeutic services in trauma focused CBT and EMDR and now practices as a psychotherapist. Kylie has been having success working with clients experiencing generalised anxiety, complex trauma and, attachment disruption.
Kylie has a Bachelor of Social Work and is trained in Theraplay, EMDR, Neurofeedback and, TF-CBT.
Elizabeth Homer
Social Worker
Elizabeth is a Social Worker with her Masters of Social Work from Charles Sturt University. She has also completed a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), a Graduate Certificate in Developmental Trauma and, a Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Trauma and Recovery Practice. Elizabeth is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, and is working towards becoming an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
Elizabeth is trained in EMDR, Theraplay, Neurofeedback, TF-CBT and, is planning on additional qualifications in Therapeutic Life Story Work. She has also completed the AbSec Cultural Connections workshop and has a passion for working collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
Elizabeth has professional experience working in many program areas, including assessments, developing Positive Behaviour Support Plans, therapy, training, facilitating family visits and, youth support. She has worked with children and families from a range of diverse backgrounds and is familiar with working with interpreters.
Paige Piper
Social Worker
Paige is a Social Worker with her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wollongong. Paige is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, and is working towards becoming an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
Paige has completed her Level 1 Theraplay training and is beginning to work with parent-child dyads, to strength attachment relationships within a therapeutic framework. She has also currently completing her Step By Step training, with the goal of being an accredited assessor.
Paige’s upcoming plans for professional development include furthered training in Theraplay, Neurofeedback, TF-CBT, EMDR, and additional qualifications in Developmental trauma.
Shannon Mullaney
Social Worker
Shannon is a Social Worker with her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wollongong, and has her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Shannon is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, and is working towards becoming an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
Shannon is trained in Neurofeedback, EMDR Level 1 and, TF-CBT.
Shannon’s upcoming plans for professional development include becoming further trained in EMDR and, Theraplay. She has also completed her Step By Step training, is an accredited assessor, and has completed the AbSec Cultural Connections workshop.
Shannon has professional experience working closely with children, their families, and carers through completing comprehensive assessments, Positive Behaviour Support Plans, individual carer support sessions, mentoring young people and, facilitating birth family visits, in addition to working with culturally and linguistically diverse young people to support social and emotional well being. Shannon has worked in Nepal alongside non-government and peace organisations to assist underprivileged children’s educational programs.
Shannon is passionate about finding positive outcomes for children and families. She has a deep understanding of the impacts of complex developmental and intergenerational trauma. She is passionate about mental health and advocating for people who are vulnerable and, facilitating safety with the people she works with.
Abbey Bowling
Social Worker
Abbey is a Social Worker, who graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Wollongong. Abbey is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, and is working towards becoming an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
Abbey has professional experience working closely with children, young people, their families and carers whilst facilitating family visits. Additionally, she has experience in providing respite and intensive support for children and young people living in out of home care, as well as assessing and training prospective foster carers alongside experienced social workers.
Abbey has completed her Level 1 Theraplay training and is beginning to work with parent-child dyads, to strength attachment relationships within a therapeutic framework. She has also currently completing her Step By Step training, with the goal of being an accredited assessor.
Abbey’s upcoming plans for professional development include furthered training in Theraplay, Neurofeedback, TF-CBT, EMDR, and additional qualifications in Developmental trauma.
